If I live forever, I promise you I will never get blogged all that I document on Twitter of this trip. Or anything in life, for that matter.
Twitter is the new blog, y’all.
Follow it.
On the side of a road in Alabama, we saw this guy…..

Which led to us to spending an HOUR+ with an artist and his 98yo mother. To say we were blessed is an understatement.

Over the years, he has created unique pieces using oils, clays, sheet metal and many other mediums. He also has drawn an infinite amount of political sketches.

He even slipped one to Maggie for us to bring home. A great surprise to me when we got in the car.
The appointment I was to go with Daddy to on Wednesday turned into a 2-day appointment. Which just means I’ve been able to spend more time with him and Mom than I had anticipated.

Who wouldn’t love that, right??
We made a stop one day at an ice-cream shop in Hernando, MS. We used to stop here and get ice cream every Sunday afternoon on the way home from my grandparents in Coldwater, MS.

Trust me when I tell you these people are paying me nothing to tell y’all this….but they have the best ice cream evva!
And they have come a long way, baby! They have 140+ flavors/toppings. And only cost a couple of bucks. Who could resist that in 105° temps??
Baskin Robbins, eat.yo.heart.out.
Have y’all seen my roadtrippin’ sidekick??

The apple doesn’t fall far, does it??
I am loving every minute of the laughs and the convos with this child. She has definitely kept the trip entertaining!

She is trying to convince me that when in Rome, you do as the Romans do. And when in Texas, you must do as the Texans do. Therefore, she needs a new pair of boots before we get to Texas.
I hate to tell her if the heat index doesn’t change in the next couple of days, we won’t be wearing very many clothes.
Much less boots!

You guys are abundantly blessed!! What awesome experiences and your sidekick is just as gorgeous as you are
big thanks! she is a hoot!
